AS Malaysian investors become more sophisticated in their financial planning and in the absence of Government regulations on financial planners, there is a need for a credible organisation to assist the investors in getting the best professional advice available.
To meet this objective, the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) - a non-profit self regulatory body - was initiated.
Its main mission is to raise the standards of competence and ethical practice of qualified financial planners in Malaysia and to educate the public on the benefits of financial planning, says FPAM president, Tunku Yaacob Tunku Abdullah.
